Emo music seems to be amid a renaissance of sorts. Just last week came the announcement of When We Were Young a single-day festival featuring the biggest names in emo music. Due to massive popular demand, the event added two additional days, which all sold out within hours.

This week’s announcement of the inaugural Emo’s Not Dead Cruise capitalizes on that demand and contains several of the same bands as WWWY who will, presumably, perform for more than 25 minutes. Produced by Sixthman, the same company behind Flogging Molly‘s Salty Dog Cruise and the KISS Kruise, the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise will hit the open seas from November 8th–12th and include headliners Dashboard Confessional, Underoath, and New Found Glory.

Also aboard the ship—which will depart from Los Angeles, CA and head to Ensenada, Mexico—will be Thursday, Plain White T’s, Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, William Ryan Key (formerly of Yellowcard), Cassadee Pope, Emery, and the live debut of Your Broken Hero.

“It was never a phase, Mom! Grab your blackest eyeliner, tightest skinny jeans, and join MATT CUTSHALL & FRIENDS aboard the EMO’S NOT DEAD CRUISE!” event organizers wrote on the website. “Sailing November 8-12, 2022, on Norwegian Jewel from Los Angeles, California to Ensenada, Mexico, brace your fragile heart and get ready for 4 memorable days that will bring tears to your eyes (more than usual).”

Pre-sale tickets are available now ahead of a general on sale that will begin this Friday, January 28th, at 9 a.m. PT. Packages range from $620 per person to the $5,871 “Owner’s Suite” with payment plans available. Head to the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise official website for purchase options and more information.
