Whether you missed Equifunk V: The All Inclusive Music Festival, or just plain miss Equifunk, L4LM has you covered this Halloween with the Equifunk All-Stars featuring Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds), Adam Scone (Mofro), Jermal Watson (Dirty Dozen Brass Band), Steven Bernstein (Levon Helm Band/Sex Mob), and Peter Apfelbaum (Trey Anastasio Band). As always, the Equifunk team will be bringing the funk to your trunk. Opening the night’s festivities will be The Lawn Boys, the Phish cover band that brings it proper. And ending the night with an all-out-dance-party will be NYC’s Chachi, spinning a 2-hour dance set that will definitely bring the heat.
If you truly consider this lineup, then you know that there is bound to be some funky, exploratory jamming from some of the scene’s top-notch performers. Guitarist Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds will lead this all-star lineup in a night of Halloween funk-driven revelry. So break out your flip-flops and socks, and get ready to enhance your brain, because this is definitely the place to be on the 27th.
The Lawn Boys will be performing a “Greatest Hits” set from all of Phish’s famous Halloween Costume sets from over the years. These epic sets have included The White Album (The Beatles), Quadrophenia (The Who), Remain in the Light (Talking Heads), Loaded (The Velvet Underground), Exile on Main Street (The Rolling Stones), Waiting for Columbus (Little Feat). Expect the unexpected during this set. Hit them up on their Facebook page with special requests, and chances are that you might just get what you want (pun intended).
After The Lawn Boys and the Equifunk All-Stars finish their sets, NYC’s Chachi will be bringing the late-night dance party to the Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club with a special 2-hour DJ set. Having played hot spots such as Lavo, Pacha, and SL, Make sure you get some proper rest, because this is going to be a throwdown from start to finish.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 27th at The Beekman Beer Gardens Beach Club, which will be tented and heated for attendees. The event is All-Inclusive, which will include: Ticket, Top Shelf Open Bar, and Coat Check. Oh….and it goes from 8pm-3am. So you have 7 hours to do your best to empty the shelves behind the bar.
Get your costumes ready, because everyone will be dressed in their Halloween best. There will be a contest for Best Costume. The winner will receive a free ticket to one of the Phish NYE shows at Madison Square Garden.
