The Eric Finland Organ Quartet released their debut album this past Friday (2/5) with the seven-track effort titled, The Trick Bag.

The self-released studio effort acts as a fitting introduction to the jazz-inspired quartet, which blends the talents of pianist Eric Finland (E3 Organ Trio), guitarist Will Bernard (Stanton Moore Trio), drummer Eric Kalb, and percussionist Moses Patrou as one smooth-flowing music machine.

For some additional background on the members in Finland’s band, Kalb was the drummer for the Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On concert at the Kennedy Center in May 2012, where he played alongside John Legend, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, and The National Symphony Orchestra. Will Bernard also has some impressive credentials to his name, as the guitarist’s former band, T.J. Kirk (with Charlie Hunter) was nominated for a Grammy in 1997 for their sophomore album, If Four Was One.
