Father John Misty on Tuesday headed to Bozeman, MT’s The ELM for his first of just four full-band headlining shows of 2024. The performance, which came amid a lengthy run of tour dates opening for Kacey Musgraves, was announced alongside September shows in Spokane, WA (9/18), Pioneertown, CA (9/25), and San Louis Obispo, CA (9/29) as the only headlining Father John Misty tour dates of 2024.

The acclaimed indie-folk singer-songwriter, real name Joshua Tillman, remarked on the differences in crowd energy between his recent opening gigs for Musgraves and his scattershot headlining shows and voiced his appreciation for the chance to play Montana, a destination he doesn’t often visit. With all that in mind, Father John Misty and his band served up six of the eight songs on his forthcoming album, Mahashmashana, due out on November 22nd, alongside various favorites and deep cuts from his lengthy back catalog.
