The new, still-unopened outpost of The Fillmore in Minneapolis, Minnesota has announced their initial calendar of concerts. The 36,000-square-foot, 1,850-person capacity new venue is set to open in February 2020 next to Target Field Station at 521 N. 5th Street in Minneapolis.
On Tuesday, The Fillmore Minneapolis announced their initial lineup of shows set to take place in early 2020. The venue will officially open on February 12th, 13th and 14th with a three-night run by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, Brandi Carlile. Carlile will perform with a trio lineup on February 12th and with her full band on February 13th. On February 14th, she’ll perform her 2010 Valentine’s Day EP, XOBC, in its entirety.
Reunited local favorites Motion City Soundtrack will hit the Fillmore Minneapolis next on February 15th and 16th, followed by rapper Ty Dolla $ign on February 17th.
Other notable annnouncements include Buddy Guy (February 27th), Rüfüs Du Sol (February 28th), Sublime with Rome (March 4th), The Revivalists (March 13th), The Floozies with SunSquabi (March 20th), Hippie Sabotage (March 28th), and a two-night run by The Disco Biscuits on April 10th and 11th.

“The attention and time we’ve taken to invest in building something special and unique will all be worth it when fans experience their favorite artists inside this amazing new venue,” Live Nation senior promoter Tamsen Preston promises via press release. “The sound system we are putting in and the sight lines are really just incredible.”
Tickets to all the announced concerts will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via the Fillmore website or in-person at Dinkytown’s Varsity Theater, which is also operated by Live Nation. Pre-sale options begin today at noon for Citi cardholders. Prices were not made immediately available.
