Fiona Apple Guests With The Watkins Family Hour For Grateful Dead Cover

That Watkins Family Hour starring brother and sister Sean and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek fame have been making the rounds this summer with their refreshing brand of folk music, and have had the help of a few special friends, including one Miss Fiona Apple. The band has taken to playing the Grateful Dead’s “Brokedown Palace” from their 1970 rock/country/folk masterpiece American Beauty, and luckily for us, there has been some great video captured of some of these performance.

Thanks to the crew over at Jambase, this performance of the Watkins Family Hour with Fiona Apple and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ keyboard player Benmont Tench playing “Brokedown” at Nashville’s City Winery on 8/1 was brought to our attention. Thanks, guys!
