Last month the Vermont Department of Tourism announced plans for a new virtual music performance series, Forevergreen: A Vermont Adventure In Music, featuring a mix of artists who have an affinity for the Green Mountain State. Produced by Higher Ground Presents, Forevergreen’s five-part virtual concert series features local Vermont musicians, as well as regional and national acts performing live from a mix of venues across the state including South Burlington’s Higher Ground.
The third and latest installment of the new series premiered on Saturday and treats viewers to pro-shot performances from Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, Grace Potter, and Dwight & Nicole.
The 44-minute episode opens with Potter performing one of her new originals “Eachother”, along with “Love is Love” and an outdoor a-cappella version of “Nothing But the Water”. The video continues with indie-soul trio Dwight & Nicole performing “Further”, “Electric Lights”, and “Back to Blue”, while Susan and Derek’s set closes things out with stripped-down, duet performances of “Do I Look Worried”, “When Will I Begin”, and “The Storm”.
Each performance segment is also edited together with a brief interview where each artist discusses their respective connection to the New England state.
