Live music fans can now take an online adventure in music with the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing’s new free virtual event series, “Forevergreen: A Vermont Adventure In Music”. The newly established virtual concert series presents music fans with Vermont’s endless capacity for adventure and a roster of artists who have an affinity for the Green Mountain State.
Produced by Higher Ground Presents, Forevergreen’s five-part virtual concert series will feature local Vermont musicians as well as regional and national acts live from quintessentially “Vermont” stages like South Burlington’s Higher Ground as well as a some of the state’s most iconic ski resorts. The series launches on Saturday, December 26th with a free stream with featuring acclaimed bluesman Taj Mahal, homegrown VT jam favorites Twiddle, and local favorite Kat Wright.
The event series will continue on December 30th with Episode Two featuring Lucius, Ryan Miller, and Will Keeper. Episode Three will follow on January 2nd with Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, Grace Potter, and Dwight and Nicole. Episode Four on January 9th will feature Chris Thile and Aoife O’Donovan, Neko Case, and Mikahely. The series will finally round out on on January 16th with Episode Five featuring The Avett Brothers, Noah Kahan, and The High Breaks. All episodes will stream live for free on the Vermont Tourism YouTube and Facebook channels at 7 p.m. ET.
“We have all been missing the sense of community and connection that live performances offer, and Vermont has so many talented musicians that either got their start here or who still call the state home,” VDTM Commissioner Heather Pelham said. “We wanted to find a way to support the arts in Vermont and Forevergreen is one way we can bring the music and spirit of Vermont to all those who are missing it, wherever they may be. We hope this concert series will keep people connected to the state and provide some inspiration for better days ahead.”
