Lotus brought their Winter Tour out to Morgantown, WV’s Mainstage last Tuesday, February 16th. The band got into the swing of things early on with a fire “Lead Pipe > Golden Ghost” from their 2011 self-titled album. “Space In Between” showcased a tight jazz-funk groove and solid interplay between drummer Mike Greenfield and guitarist Mike Rempel, when segued right into an uptempo “Age of Inexperience” to end the opening set.

Set two began right where the first set ended, with “Break Build Burn” from 2013’s Build bearing witness to incorporation of horns and those hip-hop grooves that Lotus has become so deft at playing since the release of Monks. “Contagion” is straight out of a club, and led perfectly into a cover the Deadmau5 w/ Rob Swire (Pendulum/Knife Party) track “Ghosts n’ Stuff” which had the crowd going bonkers. Once Lotus stepped on the gas, they never let up.

The band ended the show with a proper encore of “72 Hours Awake” and “Kodiak”. With the band playing St. Louis’ The Pageant tonight, it looks like this tour is going to quite literally jump off.  Enjoy a full audio of the show below!
