It seems good music is a common theme with the Bernie Sanders campaign. The Presidential hopeful is holding a rally tomorrow, April 11th, at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, NY, and has tapped local funk group Formula 5 to play two full sets prior to his speech.

Fans will recall that Sanders mentioned the jam group Phish in a speech, after that band’s drummer Jon Fishman had helped campaign for the cause. In his thank you speech, Sanders referred to Phish as “one of the great bands in this country.” Watch that here. Sanders also recently recruited Greensk Bluegrass and John Popper for a rally in Seattle, WA. Watch that one here.

The new rally comes just days before the New York primary, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19th. Be sure to get out and vote!

More information about the rally can be found via Sanders’ website, and more information about Formula 5’s set can be seen here.
