On December 26th, 2020, 50+ artists and hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world came together for Georgia Comes Alive, a virtual music festival aimed at promoting voter participation in Georgia’s Senate runoff elections on January 5th, 2021, which saw a record-breaking voter turnout.

One of the many fantastic artists who took part in Georgia Comes Alive throughout the day was singer-songwriter G. Love (real name Garrett Dutton) who delivered a two-song acoustic performance of “Christmas Change” and “The Juice”.

Similar to his performance during Justice Comes Alive earlier in the year, G. Love filled every note of “Christmas Change” with his trademark feel-good energy with help from his harmonica and white Gretsch acoustic guitar to start things out. The first song of the set made for a timely selection around the holidays just a few days prior. For his performance of “The Juice”, G. Love swapped out his Gretsch for a Gibson acoustic to play out one of the defiant title track from G. Love & Special Sauce‘s 2020 studio album.

G. Love joined 50+ other performers and speakers as part of Georgia Comes Alive, presented by Live For Live Music in partnership with voter registration nonprofit HeadCount. The marathon streaming event, powered by Nugs.TV and Plus 1generated more than $170,000 in funds for grassroots voter organizations like CivicGeorgia and Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda that put in work on the ground to get Georgians out to the polls.
