Fresh off the band’s recent Get Pumped! fall tour, Israeli psytrance quartet G-Nome has shared a pro-shot video of its live collaboration with Aqueous guitarist Mike Gantzer from a frigid Tuesday evening in Buffalo, NY.

Midway through the band’s tour opener at Buffalo Iron Works, G-Nome vamped on the funky outro groove of “Swamp Thing” as keyboardist Eyal Salomon called Gantzer to the stage to join him, guitarist Yakir Hyman, bassist Zechariah Reich, and drummer Eran Asias. The local native jam hero took his place with a G-Nome tour shirt on his back and a Stratocaster slung over his shoulder to add some extra gas to a blazing, extended take on “March of the Mice”. With Gantzer adding his searing tones on six strings and Aqueous lighting director Sam Edwards running the visuals, Buffalo fans were treated to a familiar yet fresh helping of thrilling, tension-and-release improvisation.

The tour continued on from Buffalo in similarly exciting fashion with a slew of special guests from across the jam scene. In Cleveland, OH the following week, G-Nome recruited both Cool Cool Cool guitarist Craig Brodhead and NYC-based vocalist Brittany Beckett to join in on the party. In Richmond, VA two days later, lespecial bassist Luke Bemand lent his talents to the performance. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong guitarist Jeremy Schon kept the G-Nome sit-ins coming the following evening in Baltimore, MD. After the deluge of notable guest appearances, G-Nome played the final two shows of the Get Pumped! tour—in Manchester, NH and Philadelphia, PA—to sold-out crowds.

While pulse-raising psytrance improv and progressive dance-funk compositions have netted the group a devoted following through the years, G-Nome is primed to ride this latest wave of momentum into a fruitful new chapter: A new G-Nome remix of Willy Wonka favorite “Pure Imagination” is due to arrive by the end of 2022, with a full album set to follow in early 2023. Stay tuned for more live video releases and album updates from G-Nome as the band prepares to take “grilled cheese funk at its finest” to an ever-bigger audience in the coming year.
