One of the more impressive and surprising shows of the late summer was when Israeli group, the G-Nome Project, came to New York City during a stateside run earlier this year. This was G-Nome Project’s first ever NYC venue show (they had played the loft at Ludlow with Horizon Wireless, Tractorbear, and MUN Alumni two weeks prior). The sold-out show at Fontana’s – let us reiterate, this was the band’s FIRST show in NYC – featured support from Disco Biscuits tribute Tractorbear.

Currently, G-Nome Project is planning Jerusalem’s first jamband NYE “run” along with the group’s side project, Photon (same guitar, keys, bass, but different drummer – Eli Schabes). Photon will be playing at Blaze on 12/29 and G-Nome Project will be playing Blue Hall on 12/31. Guitarist Yakir Hyman discussed the NYE plans: “There are a lot of people out here (Israel) who miss the jam scene, especially the excitement and nostalgia of a good NYE run. We’re trying to give the crew out here a place to come together and celebrate, jam-style.”

G-Nome Project band members are:
Yakir Hyman – guitar
Eyal Salomon – keys
Zechariah Reich – bass
Chemy Soibelman – drums
