The Nashville-based, Celtic-inspired world music outfit known as Gaelic Storm blew into Columbus, OH on Tuesday night for a thrilling performance at the Newport Music Hall. The performance on Tuesday was the latest stop on the band’s 2019-2020 The Drink ‘Em Down tour, which began back in October and continues through next month.

Tuesday’s show also took place just over a week after the band had to postpone a performance scheduled for February 19th to allow member Patrick Murphy to undergo foot surgery after he broke both legs during one of their concerts earlier this month.

The recent surgical procedure didn’t do much to deter Murphy from rocking out with his bandmates throughout the show, as the singer and accordionist was still able to perform from the ease and comfort of his wheelchair with both legs wrapped in protective casts. The band’s ongoing North American tour continues this week with a performance at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center in Bartlett, TN on Thursday (2/26). Head to the band’s website for tickets and tour info.
