Galactic served as the grand finale of the “Fifth Third Bank Concert Series at Meijer Gardens” at Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI on Sunday. The Louisiana future funk outfit was paired with The Heavy Hours after a late cancellation by Lettuce.

The two prolific funk bands were meant to close out the concert series—which has hosted performances from Umphrey’s McGee, St. Paul And The Broken Bones, and more this summer—until Lettuce wiped its September tour schedule clean due to a positive COVID-19 test within the band. The Cincinnati, OH-bred Heavy Hours answered the call, however, heading down to Grand Rapids following a set at SummerFest in Milwaukee, WI earlier this weekend.

Lettuce is set to return to the stage with an October 28th appearance at Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, FL. For tickets and tour information for Galactic and Lettuce, visit their respective websites.
