Round Records has announced details for the next installment of the GarciaLive archival series. Out on June 25th, GarciaLive Volume 16 captures the Jerry Garcia Band‘s 11/15/91 debut at Madison Square Garden.

Though the Grateful Dead had made many visits to the World’s Most Famous Arena by 1991—including the band’s nine-night residency two months prior—this was the first appearance by Jerry Garcia‘s solo outfit. The energy is palpable throughout the concert from the show-opening “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” to the second set-closer “Bright Side of the Road”. Upon returning for an encore, JBG sends everyone home with a blissful “(What A) Wonderful World”.

Garcia Live Volume 16 will be available as a three-CD set, digital download, and on select streaming platforms. In addition to an array of photos and memorabilia from the tour, the physical release will also host an in-depth liner notes essay from author Dean Budnick, as well as reflections from Melvin SealsJacklyn LaBranchDennis McNally, and John Popper, who opened the show with his band Blues Traveler.

As a preview of the archival release, Round Records has shared a live cut of “My Sisters and Brothers”. The second song of the second set, Jerry Garcia Band rolls through the Charles Johnson original keeping in step with the positive energy that permeates the show. While the 4:38 minute cut doesn’t offer much in the way of improvisation, it provides the window into a sublime vocal performance that carries the concert.

GarciaLive Volume 16 is available for pre-order through Garcia Family Provisions. Scroll down to see the album art and full tracklist, as well as listen to “My Sisters and Brothers” from the concert.
