Last month, legendary P-Funk/Talking Heads collaborator Bernie Worrell shared the unfortunate news that he had been diagnosed with stage-four lung cancer. The news was shared by Worrell’s wife and manager, Judie Worrell, who also announced a fundraising campaign to finance Worrell’s latest album.

It seems that Worrell’s friends have stepped in to aid the legend, as a new All-Star celebration of Bernie Worrell has been announced for April 4th at Webster Hall in NYC. The “Benefit/Funkraiser” will see contemporaries like Bootsy Collins, Living Colour, George Clinton, Black Rock Orchestra, Paul Shaffer and the World’s Most Dangerous Band ft. Felicia Collins & Will Lee, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Bill Lazwell, David Fuicznski & Freedom Imani w/ Screaming Headless Torso & The WOO Warriors, Rick Springfield, Leo Nocentelli, Nona Hendryx, and Sarah Dash, as well as film stars Meryl Streep and Jonathan Demme.

The benefit is titled All The Woo In The World, named for the debut Parliament Funkadelic album that was released in 1978. This should be quite the momentuous occasion in celebration of a legend, and all proceeds will go towards Worrell in his fight against cancer.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 26th, and can be found here.
