British jazz trio GoGo Penguin has shared another new recording that will appear on the band’s forthcoming GGP/RMX remix album, due out May 7th on Blue Note Records.

Released on Friday, the new remix of “F Maj Pixie” comes courtesy of Squarepusher, who has utilized his jazz-fusion bass abilities to give the 2020 composition a fresh identity with some added sparkling charm without straying too far from the original. “F Major Pixie” originally appeared on GoGo Penguin’s self-titled 2020 studio album which arrived last summer (and was notably included on Live For Live Music‘s “Best Psychedelia Albums Of 2020” staff picks).

Announced last month, GGP/RMX will feature 11 reworked GoGo Penguin tracks the band’s five studio albums that have been remixed by a number of talented musicians ranging from Machinedrum, Yosi Horikawa, Squarepusher, James Holden, and more.
