Gogol Bordello will raise money for Ukrainian relief with the Solidaritine tour. The tour announcement comes just a day before the band’s sold-out benefit concert for Ukraine at New York’s City Winery featuring Patti SmithMatisyahu, and more.

The 15-date tour down the East Coast and into the Southeast will raise money for Ukraine at every stop, with “a significant portion of proceeds” going to benefit the Eastern European country currently battling a Russian invasion. The band also stated that it will partner throughout the tour with human rights organizations providing Ukrainian relief. Amigo The Devil will open on most dates.

“Ukraine belongs to Ukrainians!” Ukrainian-born Gogol Bordello singer Eugene Hütz said. “We are an ancient independent nation distinctly and forever different from this criminally insane neighbor. The proof you all see now in the fierce mind-blowing battle that the world is witnessing, a battle of Ukrainian people’s choice of freedom and democracy against psychotic totalitarian regime next door. Please help us to win this battle, help us to end this catastrophe immediately and bring the intruder to justice. Please stand with Ukraine in the battle for its democracy and freedom. Please Donate and Fundraise with us. Ukraine needs all of you. All your support counts.”

The lineup for Thursday’s City Winery show also features Stephin Merritt (The Magnetic Fields), Craig Finn and Franz Nicolay (The Hold Steady), Suzanne Vega, Jesse Malin, Lady Lamb, and Marc Roberge (O.A.R.).
