Goose released a surprise EP, Autumn Crossing, featuring three songs comprising the “Travelers Elmeg Suite”.
The new studio EP includes the song “Travelers”, which is divided into “Travelers I” and “Travelers II”, with “Elmeg The Wise”—a song whose history began with Rick Mitarotonda’s short-lived, pre-Goose project St. John’s Revival—in the intermediate slot. The recording was produced and engineered by D. James Goodwin at The Isokon in Woodstock, NY and arrived with an accompanying video filmed and edited by Will Thresher, Michael Nuchereno, and Aaron Mannes.
“This is a meaningful one for me,” Mitarotonda said. “It’s among a collection of material I wrote in the years prior to Goose forming. This band is interesting to me in that way, it draws from many different times and places, and there’s a particular freedom to that. This one was a special time and place for me personally.”

The album is also available as a limited-edition 12″ EP on 180g black vinyl featuring etched artwork by Jonathan Lovering and cover art by Elissar Haikal Nooh. The package will be hand numbered and include a four-page lyric insert, expected to ship in early December.
Goose recently announced a free show at Colorado State University and is set to kick off its 2023 fall tour next weekend with a two-night stand at Boston, MA’s Leader Bank Pavilion (9/13, 9/14). Following a few weeks off, Goose will get back in action for a performance at Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, FL (10/26–10/29) before heading overseas for the band’s first-ever European tour in November. The band will wrap its 2023 schedule with a two-night Goosemas celebration at Hampton, VA’s famed Hampton Coliseum on December 8th and 9th.
