After celebrating Goosemas at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, CO on Friday and Saturday, Goose played a benefit concert for Conscious Alliance at Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO on Sunday.

Goose kicked off the first set with a “Yeti” sandwich featuring Foster The People‘s “Pumped Up Kicks” in the middle sequence clocked in at approximately 20 minutes. Next came “Jive I”, “Echo Of A Rose”, and “Earthling or Alien?”, with each pushing past the ten-minute mark. A cover of Blind Melon’s “No Rain” eventually closed out the first frame.

Goose – “Yeti” > “Pumped Up Kicks” (Foster The People) > “Yeti” – 12/18/22

The jams continued in set two, which began with the debut of a new original song, “Mr. Action”. Goose then played an uptempo version of “All I Need” before taking Talking Heads‘ “Crosseyed & Painless” for spin. The song was requested by someone in the back and included “Axel F” teases from guitarist Rick Mitarotonda. It wound up being the longest jam of the night at just a few seconds longer than the first set’s 20-minute “Earthling or Alien”. The band wrapped up set two with “Spirit Of The Dark Horse”, a cover of DEVO’s “Whip It”, and “So Ready”.

For the encore, Goose relied on song requests almost like it did for Goosemas, where the band drew audience requests from a sack at random. First, the quintet played “Elmeg The Wise”, which was requested by Elgreg the Wise, followed by the Grateful Dead’s “Brokedown Palace”, which was requested by Becks via a Goosemas wish postcard, per Coach’s notes. Fans got one last chance to burn up the dance floor as goose selected “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps as the final song of the evening based on a Goosemas wish postcard that simply said, “Disco.”
