Goose has brought the music and magic of Fred The Festival to the small screen with Fred The Film. The music documentary chronicling the band’s three-day curated festival at the LOCKN’ Farm in Arrington, VA last month premiered Tuesday on YouTube.

In a post announcing the film last week, the Norwalk, CT quintet described it as,”A 2 hour music documentary showcasing some of our favorite moments and songs from our first festival, Fred! Enjoy behind-the-scenes footage, as well as 7 song selections from the weekend.”

With only seven songs in the two-hour documentary, the band had to make some difficult decisions. Beyond Goose’s four sets over two days, Fred saw numerous highlights from all corners of the band’s extended universe. The weekend featured the first performance from Goose predecessor Vasudo since 2013, as guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach, Trevor Weekz, and Jeffrey Arevalo reconnected with keyboardist Matt Campbell. Drummer Ben Atkind also brought his side project ElephantProof off the shelf for an invigorating late-night performance in Garcia’s Forest. Other highlights from the weekend also included a daytime “Peter On The Porch” solo acoustic set from Peter Anspach in addition to an Orebolo aGOOSEtic set with Rick, Peter, and Jeff.
