Goose brought its 2022 winter tour to Louisville, KY on Friday night. The quickly-growing Connecticut jam-rock quintet made its debut at the 2,000-capacity Old Forester’s Paristown Hall, delivering two sets of newer songs and fan-favorite rarities.
The first frame opened with a reliably-solid “Jive II” and included some of the songs Goose debuted over the past year. After another older tune, “Indian River”, helped the five-piece launched into “Welcome to Delta”, which eventually slipped into “Dr. Darkness”—initially debuted on February 3rd at Portland, OR’s Wonder Ballroom. Set one also included takes on the newer “Pancakes” and a 20-minute, party-starting “Hot Tea”.

“Atlas Dogs”, which Goose debuted as the second set opener at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on January 28th, fell in the same spot at Paristown Hall and preceded the emotionally-charged “A Western Sun”. A dark and twisted “Creatures” linked up with a Shenanigans Nite Club cut, “Flodown”, ahead of a take on the traditional “Peggy-O”, which found a spot on the setlist for the first time in 2022. Goose then closed out the second set with one of the rarest songs in its catalog, “Factory Fiction”, before coming back for an encore of “Jive Lee” and a return to “Flodown”.
The band will wrap this leg of its winter tour tonight, February 12th, at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA. Goose will then open March with a two-night run at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club (3/1, 3/2). For a full list of upcoming tour dates, head here.
