Goose appears to be up to something: on Wednesday, the rising CT-based jam outfit released a video trailer for something called “Shenanigans Nite Club.” The “trailer” doesn’t do much to illuminate the details of “Shenanigans Nite Club”—even at a hefty runtime of five minutes and forty-five seconds—although the video’s description on YouTube points to an official announcement at midnight on Friday, March 19th.

So, what’s in this nearly six-minute “trailer” if not details about the project being previewed? Glad you asked. In the “Shenanigans Nite Club” trailer, we’re re-introduced to the members of Goose by way of a slow, retro, ’70s-stylized scooter cruise around town featuring plenty of colorful windbreakers and cigarettes.

This band has always been prone to tweak names (Trevor Weeks? Trevor Weekz? Trevor Bass?), but the “Shenanigans Nite Club” trailer serves as a fresh round of Goose “casting.” In the clip, we’re introduced to guitarist Rick Rich Mitarotonda as “Frankie Bosco,” bassist Trevor Weekz as “Terry Alfredo,” keyboardist/guitarist Peter Anspach as “Franz Petit Lupen,” drummer Ben Atkind as “Kevin,” and percussionist Jeffrey Lane ‘Orebolo’ Arevalo as “Lloyd 2.0.” Tour manager/”Coach” Jon Lombardi also makes a comedic appearance as “Big Earl.”

The clip also presents some seemingly “normal” film credits for “cinematography” (Will Thresher) and “hair stylist” (Jennifer Mark), in addition to a few more off-kilter production creds like “athletic director” (Bruce Robinson) and “mixologist” (Kenny Cash). In addition, we’re introduced to some other “roles” played by Carina Immer (Kiki Foster), Katie Sulzinski (Rosemary Cox), Ashley Kuppersmith (Debbie Vanderbilt), and Juliana Hudson (Juliana Hudson).

So, what is “Shenanigans Nite Club,” exactly? A movie? A scooter gang? A porno from 1976? Could be. The two separate shots in the trailer featuring a burned CD with “Shenanigans Nite Club” wriitten on it could mean it’s a new album, too. We’ll have to wait until Friday to find out for sure. Either way, it seems the project will put the trademark Goose mustaches to good use.
