Governors Ball will make its new home at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY June 9th–11th, 2023. Helping usher in this new era for the staple NYC festival are headliners Lizzo, Kendrick Lamar, and ODESZA along with over 60 other artists.
Also on tap for Governors Ball are Lil Uzi Vert, Haim, Diplo, Lil Baby, æspa, Rina Sawayama, Lil Nas X, Giveon, Sofi Tukker, Omar Apollo, Kim Petras, Eladio Carrión, Lauv, Oliver Tree, Finneas, Kenny Beats, Pusha T, Girl in Red, Central Cee, Tems, and more. Other highlights of the three-day lineup include Joey Bada$$, PJ Morton, Snail Mail, Black Midi, Syd, Kennyhoopla, and many others.
After leaving its longtime home of Randall’s Island in 2021, Governors Ball made the move to Queens for two years at Citi Field. For 2023, the festival will stay in Queens but move to the iconic Flushing Meadows Corona Park, site of two world’s fairs and the annual U.S. Open Tennis Championship. Festival organizers Founders Entertainment are affirming their commitment to the borough with a number of initiatives, including partnerships with local non-profit organizations including Chhaya and the Elmhurst/Corona Recovery Collective. Local musicians from School of Rock Queens and School of Rock Brooklyn will kick off the festival on Friday and Saturday, plus the event is working with local institution Queens Night Market to bring a wide selection of Night Market culinary favorites to its new home.
