Gov’t Mule is currently preparing for the arrival of their forthcoming concert film and accompanying live album, Bring On The Music – Live At The Capitol Theatre, which is scheduled to arrive on June 28th (album) and July 19th (film). On Monday, the rock band debuted the film’s official trailer, which showcases footage recorded during their two headlining shows at Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre on April 27th-28th of last year.
The arrival of the two-minute promo trailer for the Danny Clinch-directed film follows previously shared clips and showcases a mix of live footage of the two Capitol Theatre performances, in addition to backstage B-roll and interview shots with both band members and fans while the music plays throughout.
“When you sign on to be a musician, you sign on for life,” guitarist/singer Warren Haynes can be seen saying during the video. “To be a student for life, and never stop learning. That’s what Gov’t Mule is.”
“At the time the 25th anniversary of our band was looming a year away, so it seemed like we needed to document where the band is right now,” Haynes also said in a statement to go with the video’s premiere on Monday. “We’ve been consistently feeling great about our shows, and it’s quite amazing that a band that’s been together this long still gets along as well as we do. In a lot of bands that just doesn’t happen. But since the beginning, it’s been important for us to keep evolving and changing with each release, and we keep adding new influences or different influences. I think that keeps it always interesting for us.” Watch the entire new trailer below:
