On December 31st, Gov’t Mule previously announced a three-set tribute to the famous “Summer Jam” festival of 1973. Like that show, Mule will be playing one set of Grateful Dead, one set of The Band, and another of the Allman Brothers Band. Today, Warren Haynes and co have revealed the special guests for the event.

Warren Haynes Talks Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule And More

Gov’t Mule’s first set of the NYE show will embody the “Grateful Mule” and feature Steve Kimock and Lincoln Schleifer. The second set will showcase “The Mule” with Larry Campbell. And the third set will glorify the “Allmule Brothers Band” featuring Chuck Leavell, Jack Pearson, and Paul Riddle, all of whom have contributed time to the Allman Brothers Band.

True to their specifics, Haynes has contrived quite the special tributes while keeping it all authentically Mule. This is definitely Mule Army approved!
