Grace Potter stopped by The Cabot in Beverly, MA on Thursday to kick off her intimate The Lonely Town tour with a sold-out one-woman show.
The eight-show Lonely Town tour, advertised as an evening with Grace Potter, sees the powerful singer-songwriter and leader of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals perform solo, with just a microphone, some guitars, and an electric piano set up on stage like a private bedroom studio. The shows are mostly sold out, including Thursday’s tour opener.
Potter kicked off the show with an improvised intro song to honor the town of Beverly and introduce the tour concept. She went on to play selections from throughout her catalog and covers including Fleetwood Mac‘s “Gold Dust Woman”, Neil Young‘s “Cortez the Killer”, George Michael‘s “Careless Whisper”, and more, with teases of several other songs throughout the set.

The Lonely Town continues with two sold-out shows in Homer, NY, followed by stops in Bethel, NY and Northampton, MA. Potter will then return to Beverly, MA to conclude the tour with a second sold-out performance at The Cabot.
