Rockstar Games has dropped a trailer for the new Grand Theft Auto Online DLC, entitled “The Contract”. This single-player content addition will feature new music from Dr. Dre, Anderson .Paak, and more, with the musicians also making virtual appearances in the story.
“The Contract” will see players work with characters Franklin Clinton and Lamar Davis on a mission to recover Dr. Dre’s cellphone that he lost in a previous GTA Online cameo, which contains a bevy of new tracks. Fans may remember that back in October, Snoop Dogg revealed that Dre had been working on new music for Grand Theft Auto in an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone. Well, that new music is the key to this storyline.
“Get ready for a wild and hilarious ride through Los Santos,” wrote Rockstar Games on its website. “From the mean streets of Franklin’s old neighborhood to the hottest parties in the city, from debaucherous mansions to the offices of the FIB and everywhere in between as you join Franklin, expert hacker Imani, Chop the Dog, and crew to secure Dr. Dre’s precious tracks and return them to their rightful owner.”
The new trailer sees Dre and .Paak recording in the studio together, with new music from the duo in the background. Viewers get reacquainted with Clinton, who was a central character in the GTA VÂ single-player campaign but now holds a job as the owner of F. Clinton and Partner, a “celebrity solutions agency.”
The new GTA Online DLC featuring Dr. Dre and Anderson .Paak will see a release on Wednesday, December 15th. Head to the Rockstar Games website for more information and check out the official trailer below.
