GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance has announced Save Your Roots Live!, a one-night livestream event as part of the organization’s broader “Save Your Roots” campaign. Yes Darling‘s Ryan Montbleau and Hayley Jane will host the event, which GrassRoots Festival will stream from the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY on December 19th at 7 p.m. ET.
For the first time in its 30 year history, GrassRoots has postponed an entire year of festivals due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to sustain the organization through the winter and prepare for the 2021 season, GrassRoots has launched the “Save Your Roots” campaign. With a capital campaign goal of $100,000, “Save Your Roots” will culminate in the very special Save Your Roots Live! webcast from the site of its first event in 1991.
Live performances will include the GrassRoots All-Stars, Jeb & Tara, Driftwood, Richie & Rosie, Jim Lauderdale, Preston & Keith Frank, Keith Secola, Dirk Powell, Cortadito, Fabi World Music, and many more.
