After a week off, the Grateful Dead‘s weekly Shakedown Stream archive concert webcast series returns this Friday, June 26th. Similar to the webcast two weeks ago, where the Dead revisited their May 11th, 1991 performance at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, the Dead will once again showcase a Shoreline concert—this time, their debut at the Mountain View, CA venue a few years earlier on October 2nd, 1987.

To make this week’s webcast even better, the pre-show with series hosts David Lemieux and Gary Lambert will feature a Q&A session with noted veteran rock musicians Dave Schools (Widespread Panic) and Adam MacDougall (Circles Around The Sun) in which the two will talk about the new Neal Casal Music Foundation, the Highway Butterfly tribute album, and a surprise release from Circles Around the Sun.

Many Deadheads will be quick to remember that Casal initially convened Circles Around The Sun to create the Interludes for the Dead which played over the stadium P.A. at the Grateful Dead‘s Fare Thee Well concerts back in 2015. Those “interludes” were so well-received that the band released them as an album and went on to become a “true” band in their own right

As with each of the weekly webcasts, Friday’s show will broadcast to the band’s YouTube for free and viewers are encouraged to donate what they can to benefit a non-profit organization of the band’s choice. This week’s donation beneficiaries will be Musicares and the Neal Casal Foundation.

Scroll down to watch this week’s Shakedown Stream pre-show and full-concert webcast on Friday (June 26th) beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
