The latest installment in the ongoing Grateful Dead archival series, “All The Years Live“, is available now on the band’s YouTube page. This newest release showcases the Dead’s performance of “Foolish Heart” from their June 11th, 1993 concert at Buckeye Lake in Hebron, OH. The Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter-penned original had appeared on the band’s final studio album, Built to Last, which arrived in October 1989.

“Foolish Heart” now adds to the small collection of previous “All The Years Live” video releases of Buckeye Lake performances over the years including “Reuben & Cherise” from 6/6/90; “Let It Grow” from 6/9/1991; and “Stagger Lee” and “Bird Song” from 7/1/92.

Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes in the video’s description,

Typically a second set opener, ensconced in that slot for the bulk of the five years it had been played leading up to 6/11/93, at Buckeye a moment of inspiration must have prodded the band into playing it here as the second song of the first set, an unprecedented placement (it opened a handful of shows in 1988 and 1989, but was never played as the second song of the first set).
