The latest live Grateful Dead video from the band’s “All The Years Live” series is now available through the band’s official YouTube page. The new video features “Lost Sailor” into “Saint Of Circumstance” from October 31st, 1980 at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.

As the band’s official archivist David Lemieux explains in the video’s description, “If you were seeing a lot of shows 1979-1982, you likely saw this Weir-Barlow combination plenty of times. This terrific rendition was a highlight of the Dead Ahead home video, the Dead’s first foray into creating a video specifically for the home viewer (as opposed to the Grateful Dead Movie in 1977, which was a theatrical project). In 1986, the Dead dropped Lost Sailor from the setlist, leaving its partner to appear sporadically in second sets for the next decade.”

As the Grateful Dead did in September and October 1980, this show featured three sets—one acoustic set followed by two electric sets. Hosted by comedians Al Franken and Tom Davis, this was the Dead’s last show of their 1980 fall tour and the final performance of eight that the band offered up at Radio City Music Hall.
