Long Island’s long-running Great South Bay Music Festival has revealed the initial artists on their 2018 lineup. As usual, the event has curated one of the more diverse and intriguing lineups of the season, set to take place July 12th – 15th at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, NY.

As with last year’s lineup, the artists are loosely dispersed by genre throughout the four days of the event. Thursday’s lineup will feature post-hardcore acts like The Front Bottoms, Thrice, The Get Up Kids, and Envy on the Coast. Friday, the vibe shifts toward reggae-centered acts, with headlining sets from Sublime with Rome, Dirty Heads, and 90’s ska punk favorites Less Than Jake.

Great South Bay’s Saturday and Sunday lineups will appeal most to jam fans. Umphrey’s McGee will headline Saturday evening’s bill along with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Papadosio, JGB featuring Melvin Seals, and Andy Falco & Friends. Finally, on Sunday, the festival will close with help from American rock and roll and bluegrass favorites including sets by Electric Hot Tuna, Little Feat, the Devon Allman Project featuring Duane Betts, and more, as well as a “Very Special Headliner” yet to be announced.

Great South Bay is the biggest and longest-tenured four-day “American Themed” music, art & cultural event on Long Island. Situated on the magnificent Great South Bay, the event features approximately 60 performers on 4 stages, including music legends, contemporary favorites, and local emerging rock, jazz, country, folk, funk, zydeco, and jam bands, representing a large array of different American musical styles.

In addition to the music, The Great South Bay Music Festival will feature its long-running “Artisan Market,” featuring a diverse collection of interesting hand-made items from the U.S. and abroad. The event will also include a diverse food court, multiple beer and wind gardens, art installations, and a “Chill Tent,” in addition to the cool breeze off the bay, the amazing views, and much more!

Tickets for Great South Bay Music Festival go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, March 22nd at 9 a.m. ET. As always, the event will donate $1 from each ticket sold to GSB Music – Stony Brook University Cancer Center Fund, which has raised over $190,000 for cancer research to date.
