On Wednesday, punk-rock veterans Green Day treated their fans in Madrid, Spain to a last-minute performance at La Riviera, where they performed their seminal 1994 studio album Dookie in full. The pop-up performance at the intimate venue also included a handful of notable bust-outs and some new material.

The band is currently in Spain where they’re set to attend the MTV EMA Awards in Madrid this coming weekend. Their two-set, 27-song show at La Riviera opened with Dookie‘s opening track in “Burnout” followed promptly by “Having A Blast” and the first performance of “Chump” since 2014. The opening set continued in accordance with the 1994 album’s tracklisting with “Longview”, “Welcome to Paradise”, and a bust-out of “Pulling Teeth” after a six-year absence. The album continued with more bust-outs of “Sassafras Roots”, “Emenius Sleepus”, and “In the End” all making their first live appearances since 2013 before the set came to a close with “All By Myself”.

The second half of the show continued with a mix of hits from the rest of the Green Day discography including “Minority”, “Bang Bang”, “Revolution Radio”, “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”, and “American Idiot”, to name a few. The second set also included a performance of “Father of All…”, one of the new original tracks to appear on the band’s forthcoming 2020 album, Father of All Motherfuckers.
