The evening began with a cover of Hendrix’s “Crosstown Traffic” from the classic 1968 album Electric Ladyland. After that the band was off to the races with its own “Gold Rush”, followed by “The Four”, which segued into “Burn Them” where Keith Kinnear joined in on tambourine. Greensky then ran through a series of originals to close out the set, including “Against The Days”, “Run Or Die”, “Room Without A Roof”, “Do Harm”, “Jaywalking”, and finally “Courage For The Road” before departing for a mid-show break.

The second set kicked off with “Dustbowl Overtures”, followed by “It’s Not Mine Anymore”, and “Merely Avoiding”. Next Greensky went into “Worried About The Weather” which segued into “Ain’t Wasting Time No More” by The Allman Brothers Band, who sold out the Beacon 238 shows in a row over 25 years. Following the cover, the band returned to originals with “A Letter To Seymour”, followed by “In Control”, then “Radio Blues”. The set wound down with “Do It Alone”, and ultimately wrapped up with “Living Over”. The band returned for a lone encore of “Driven To Tears”.

Greensky Bluegrass’ tour rolls on with a show Saturday night at House of Blues in Boston, MA where they will receive opening support from Ghost Light. Tickets and a full list of dates are available on the band’s website.
