Greensky Bluegrass will take its Camp Greensky festival abroad in 2023 with a trip to Iceland. The jamgrass outfit will perform June 3rd–5th, 2023 at Eldborg Hall at the Harpa Concert and Conference Center in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Fruition will join Greensky Bluegrass as support on its Icelandic adventure, while keyboardist and frequent collaborator Holly Bowling will sit in with GSBG throughout the run in addition to performing a solo set on June 2nd. Additionally, Neighbor and The Lil Smokies will tag along to provide after-shows, each of which will feature sit-ins from members of Greensky Bluegrass.

“Remember when we were kids and you or your friends went to sleep away camp? It’s like that, but 3 nights of Greensky with Holly Bowling and opening sets by Fruition,” dobro player Anders Beck said.

Greensky Bluegrass marks the latest band to throw an Icelandic destination event, following in the footsteps of Umphrey’s McGee and The Disco Biscuits. Though COVID-19 postponed Umphrey’s McGee’s RÖCKJAVIK a number of times, the band pulled off the residency earlier this year with help from TAUK, Star Kitchen, Jennifer Hartswick, and more. Meanwhile, The Disco Biscuits are gearing up for their TranceAtlantic trip to Reykjavik in May 2023 with Cloudchord, Dogs in a Pile, Karina Rykman, and SPAGA.
