Greenksy Bluegrass continued its recently launched winter tour with special guests The Infamous Stringdusters on Saturday night at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre.
Following an opening set by the Stringdusters featuring a few venue-appropriate nods to the Grateful Dead—including a mid-set “Scarlet Begonias” cover and some “West L.A. Fadeaway” teases in “Get It While You Can”—Greensky took the stage at the historic theater for a two-set show.
Fresh off the release of new LPÂ Stress Dreams on Friday, Greensky Bluegrass turned in a performance heavy on material from the new album. Other highlights included a first-set sit-in by Stringdusters fiddler Jeremy Garrett on “Fixin’ to Ruin” and “Burn Them” and a second-set “Broke Mountain Breakdown” featuring snippet of “Smoke On The Water”.
