Gretna Heritage Festival, a.k.a. Gretna Fest, will make its triumphant return after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic with a lineup featuring The Revialists, John Fogerty, The Beach Boys, Gov’t Mule, Dumpstaphunk, Grace Potter, Tank and the Bangas, and more. The community festival’s 26th year will take place at the Gretna Cultural Center for the Arts in Gretna, LA on the Mississippi River across from New Orleans on Friday, October 7th to Sunday, October 9th.

The festivities will kick off on Friday with musical performances by The Revivalists, Grace Potter, Con Funk Shun, Frank Foster, Tank and the Bangas, and more; Saturday will feature John Fogerty, Brett Young, Dumpstaphunk, Irma ThomasHerman’s Hermints Starring Peter Noone, and Mike Dillon & Punkadelick among other performers; and Sunday will cap the weekend with a strong lineup including The Beach Boys, Gov’t Mule, Niko Moon, Larkin Poe, North Mississippi Allstars, The Original Lakeside, and more.

The festival announced in a press conference that 2022 will bring some exciting changes to the event, including a new look and layout, new RFID wristbands for tickets and onsite transactions, a new kids’ corner with games, inflatables, bungee run, train rides, and face painting, and the new Club Backstage, which will host live music as well as LSU and Saints watch parties.

The festival will also include a classic car show, over 100 craft and clothing booths, and food and beverage offerings representing the region’s international influences including the Italian Village, where attendees can enjoy authentic Italian food and drinks, a food court featuring fresh New Orleans cuisine, a Margarita Village sponsored by Jose Cuervo, and a German beer garden.
