HARD Events has done it again.
In what will surely be the biggest 70s-and-80s disco revival of the 21st century, HARD founder Gary Richards has announced that Nile Rodgers’ Chic and Giorgio Moroder will co-headline a performance at the Hollywood Bowl on May 10th.
The duo will be joined by Oliver, Tensnake, and Destructo, the DJ-ing alias of Gary Richards himself.
Moroder and Rodgers worked together to produce a handful of wildly successful disco hits throughout the 70s and 80s, including “Le Freak” and “Everybody Dance.” More recently, both artists collaborated on the Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories.
Moroder has previously worked with the HARD Events brand, debuting as a DJ last November for the Day of the Dead disco-revival celebration.
Fellow show organizer Andrew Hewitt commented that, ““This is a unique show we are bringing to the Hollywood Bowl. We’re looking forward to an evening of disco, funk and future music from legends like Chic and Giorgio Moroder.”
Sounds like a spectacular night of music in the works. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM.
