Herbie Hancock is one of the greatest jazz pianists and composers of our time who became known for his melodic and accessible works and won a Grammy Award in 2008 for Album of the Year. Tonight, the iconic musician will record a performance for Austin City Limits, the long-running public television show dating back to 1976 that is filmed in Austin, Texas. After the recording of the performance is edited, Hancock’s episode will mark his debut on that nationally broadcast television show.

However, those who are eager to catch Herbie Hancock’s Austin City Limits performance are in luck, as the program will be offering a free webcast of Herbie’s taping session for the show at ACL Live At The Moody Theatre in Austin. Hancock will be joined by renowned multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer Terrace Martin, bassist James Genus from Saturday Night Live, and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta formerly of Sting and Frank Zappa.
