On Wednesday, August 21st, Herbie Hancock is set to bring his Herbie Hancock: Next Generation performance to Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. The concert is part of the Jazz at the Bowl series.
Hancock recently added bass virtuoso Stephen Bruner, also known as Thundercat, to the Hollywood Bowl bill, which will also see Herbie team up with jazz acts R+R=Now and Phoelix.
Herbie and Thundercat are no strangers to each other. On August 1st, Thundercat offered support to Herbie at his Beacon Theatre performance, which saw Hancock welcome Thundercat and flautist Elena Ayodele during his “Chamelon” encore.
