New York City-based Grateful Dead cover outfit HIGH TIME has released a mix of live recordings from their 2019 fall and winter performances as the second edition of the band’s Chip’s Picks series.

The new live release is now available on HIGH TIME’s Bandcamp page, where fans can stream the recordings for free in addition to purchasing a digital download or a limited edition cassette (limited to 50 copies). The three shows from which the recordings are pulled include the band’s Brooklyn Bowl performance on 10/6/19 which featured a psychedelic second set sit-in from Yo La Tengo guitarist Ira Kaplan on “Dark Star”, “Wharf Rat”, “The Other One”, and more.

HIGH TIME – Chip’s Picks Vol 2

Since emerging out of Brooklyn in 2018, HIGH TIME has firmly established itself as the top live Grateful Dead music experience in the New York City area. Since Joe Russo’s Almost Dead leveled up to the national headlining circuit in recent years, HIGH TIME’s consistent performance schedule mixed with their growing ability to masterfully harness the power of the “Primal Dead” era of 1965-1974 makes their performances feel like they’re worth way more the price of admission (a HIGH TIME ticket typically ranges from $12-$15).
