Shovels & Rope‘s regional music event High Water Festival will return to North Charleston, SC next spring when the multi-day music festival takes place at Riverfront Park on April 18th-19th, 2020. On Tuesday, event organizers shared the initial lineup of artists who will perform at the 2020 event as fans begin to make their plans for next year’s festival season.

Shovels & Rope will again co-headline their 2020 event alongside Wilco, Nathaniel Rateliff, and the newly-solo Brittany Howard. Other artists who will perform throughout the springtime weekend event include Mavis Staples, Andrew Bird, Drive-By Truckers, Rufus Wainwright, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, Delta Spirit, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Wilder Woods, Liz Cooper & The Stampede, Strand Of Oaks, The Felice Brothers, Shannon & the Clams, Seratones, Cedric Burnside, Indianola, Palm Palm, and She Returns From War.
The event is once again curated by Shovels & Rope, with artists set to perform on two alternating stages throughout the warm daytime hours and into the evening. The festival will also feature a mix of local vendors and restauranteurs who will treat attendees to culinary and souvenir offerings. The April event also offers fans the chance to purchase The Platinum Pearl Experience tickets, where attendees will have access to an intimate performance from Jeff Tweedy at the nearby Eternal Father Of The Seal Chapel.
