As streams remain our primary source of live music entertainment and drive-in shows begin popping up more frequently, Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground and the Waterwheel Foundation have announced a Phish Dinner and a Movie drive-in experience.

The drive-in event will correspond with Tuesday, June 16th’s twelfth episode of the Burlington-native band’s ongoing archival webcast/cooking series, Dinner and a Movie. The drive-in event will take place at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, VT.

The announcement lists the “gates” time as 6:00 p.m. and the “show” time as 7:00 p.m., rather than the normal 8:30 p.m. start time for Dinner and a Movie. The band has announced that Tuesday’s webcast of June 19, 1995 at Deer Creek will take place at the usual time.

The event will adhere to all CDC and Vermont guidelines in relation to social distancing while attending drive-in events. Tickets are being sold for $25 each, with one ticket needed per car for entry. To purchase tickets when they go on sale on Friday, June 12th at 3 p.m. ET here. For more information, head to the Facebook event page.

The Dinner and a Movie drive-in event follows Tuesday’s announcement that Higher Ground would be “building
a large stage on the Champlain Valley Exposition grounds in Essex Junction to provide a space for concerts and community events in an age of physical distancing.” Following Tuesday’s Phish stream, Burlington artist Kat Wright will break in the new stage as the first live performer of the Higher Ground Drive-In Experience series on Friday, June 19th.
