The 63rd annual Newport Jazz Festival just dropped its initial lineup for 2017. The festival, which has a rich history dating back to 1954, will again be gracing Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI. The three-day event has just announced that the original Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Snarky Puppy, Andra Day, and Hudson, an ensemble of Jack DeJohnette, John Scofield, John Medeski, and Larry Grenadier, will all be featured during the festival, among many others. Newport Jazz Festival is scheduled for August 4 through August 6, and the full line-up can be found here. Tickets are available via the festival’s website and are open to the public.
