Hogs For The Cause has announced the lineup for its 2023 event at New Orleans, LA’s UNO Lakefront Arena Festival Grounds. on March 31st and April 1st. The annual event will once again mix live music, barbecue competitions, and more in service of raising funds for families struggling with pediatric brain cancer.
The 2023 edition of the event will feature headlining performances by St. Paul & The Broken Bones and The Devon Allman Project featuring JoJo Hermann (Widespread Panic) with special guests George Porter Jr. (The Meters) and Anders Osborne.
Additional acts set to perform at Hogs For The Cause 2023 include Charles Wesley Godwin, Bartees Strange, Shinyribs, The Heavy Heavy, The Wilder Blue, Ian Noe, The Deslondes, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Jackie Venson, J and the Causeways, Zach Person, Tomar and the FCs, Andrew Duhon, Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band, The Stooges Brass Band, Watson, and Zita. Local favorite Honey Island Swamp Band will also link up with lauded percussionist Mike Dillon and The Darkside Horns for a special performance billed as Dark Side of the Swamp.

Hogs for the Cause works with both local and national children’s hospitals—including Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Ochsner Hospital for Children, Duke Children’s Hospital, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Children’s Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, and Children’s Hospital of San Antonio—to offer monetary relief to families with children who have brain cancer. Over the past decade, the festival has become a flagship of Hogs For The Cause’s efforts, allowing the organization to raise millions of dollars and shine a light on its cause.

Hogs For The Cause has also grown into one of the country’s largest barbecue competitions, with the 2023 event set to host 90+ teams competing in categories like Ribs, Whole Hog, Pork Shoulder, and Porkpourri.
