Holly Bowling was the latest artist to perform as part of 11E1even and nugs.tv‘s Live From Out There couch tour series, as the pianist webcasted from her living room on Tuesday night. Bowling’s 90+ minute set included covers of Phish, Grateful Dead, and even a Radiohead debut.
Holly’s Facebook stream was captioned with a statement regarding the recent show cancellations due to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic,
Welcome to my living room! In the wake of all of these show cancellations, I’ve been left with a bunch of pent up creative energy and nowhere to release it. I decided to make the most of the situation and invite you all into my living room, to my home piano, for a bit of reprieve from all the bad news in our feeds.

The Ghost Light pianist started her instrumental-only set with a take on Phish‘s “The Horse” and its traditional companion, “Silent in the Morning”. A Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter collaboration, “The Wheel”, came next, followed by another Phish cover, “A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing”, from 2004’s Undermind. Grateful Dead‘s “Weather Report Suite (Prelude & Part 1)” sat ahead of another Dead tune, “Let It Grow”.
Bowling continued her Live From Out There performance with Phish’s “Wingsuit” followed by Trey Anastasio‘s “About to Run” before a segue led back to “The Wheel” and “Let It Grow”. A debut cover of Radiohead‘s “Idioteque”, as well as the Dead’s “Stella Blue” closed out the stream. Watch the entire performance below and scroll down for a full setlist:
