Howlin’ Rain opened their six-night East Coast run Friday night with a concert at Union Pool in Brooklyn, NY.

Before Howlin’ Rain took the stage, audiences at the Union Pool were treated to a set from Brooklyn’s own Sunwatchers. The band delivered a worth-while reward to fans who showed up early, as Jeff Tobias lead the way with his dominant saxophone playing. Sunwatchers are teamed up with Howlin’ Rain for the duration of the East Coast run.

In front of a packed house, Howlin’ Rain worked their way through a rocking set full of the psychedelic madness they’re known for, as they transported the small room to somewhere in the 1970s. As they closed out the show with the title track from 2018’s Alligator Bride, the band showed audiences why two guitars are always better than one.

Next, the groups head down to Baltimore, MD for a show at Joe Squared tomorrow, February 23rd. After that, they continue further south to Raleigh, NC to play at Kings on February 25th. For tickets and a full list of dates, head to the Howlin’ Rain’s website.
