The Infamous Stringdusters have announced their first tour dates of 2019, which will cover the west coast and span from January 16th through the 27th. They will be joined by Midnight North for a number of dates in the support slot.

The Infamous Stringdusters’ tour will kick off January 16 in Los Angeles at The Troubadour, then head to the Belly Up in Solana Beach the very next night with Midnight North. They’re slated to perform on January 18th, 19th, and 20th, though the location is TBA. After the weekend run, The Infamous Stringdusters will continue northwest to perform in Ashland, OR (1/22). From there, they’ll meet up with Midnight North for shows in Bend, OR (1/23); Portland, OR (1/24-25); and Seattle, WA (1/26). The Infamous Strindusters will close out this run at Wild Buffalo in Bellingham, WA on January 27th.

In a press release about the upcoming tour, Andy Falco says, “Very much looking forward to hitting the west side of the country in January! With our good friends of Midnight North opening the shows, there are sure to be some fun and unique collaboration.” Andy Hall adds, “We’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with these guys on a number of occasions, and can’t wait to bring all the sounds to our west coast people. There’s something in the wind, and it’s winter Dusters tour!”

The Infamous Stringdusters–comprised of Andy Hall (dobro), Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), and Travis Book (upright bass)–have had quite the touring schedule since the release of their seventh studio album, Laws Of Gravity, which won the “Best Bluegrass Album” at the Grammy Awards this past February. As a follow-up, the band has released Laws Of Gravity: Live! and a new collection of covers, Undercover Vol. 2.

The press release also notes:

In addition to tackling their extensive touring schedule, THE STRINGDUSTERS recently teased fans by revealing that they’ve completed the recording of their next full-length studio album, their ninth overall. In a posting on Instagram, the group shared “Our new album is done!! Such an incredible last 8 days in the studio. We got deep into a bunch of new music and we are really excited about the way things turned out. Huge thanks to our amazing engineer/co-producer Billy Hume and to everyone here at Mighty Fine Productions in Denver.”
